Agha Waqar's water-fuelled car
Agha Waqar Ahmed's Water-kit is an apparatus announced publicly in July 2012 that has been alleged to allow water to be used as a source of fuel in cars.[citation needed] The apparatus consists of a "water-kit" that can break water into hydrogen and oxygen molecules through the process of electrolysis. The kit was invented by Agha Waqar Ahmed, an inventor based in Khairpur,SindhPakistan. Ahmed claims that any car using his kit can run exclusively on water and will yield 40 km of distance on a liter of water.[1][2][3] He has also claimed that his technology can power the entire country with water.[4] His claims have been met with skepticism as well as enthusiasm from Pakistani Scientists.[5] His critics have pointed put that in order for the invention to work, it would have violate the second law of thermodynamics[5]Furthermore, there have been several attempts to use water as fuel in cars in the past, all of which have turned out to be futile.

Water kit

Ahmed calls his invention "water-kit".[citation needed] The kit consists of a cylindrical jar, which holds the water, electrodes, wires to be attached with car's battery and a hose leading to the engine. The kit claims to use electrolysis to convert water into HHO gas, which is then used as fuel in an otherwise unmodified gasoline engine. The kit states that it requires distilled water.[3] Ahmed claims that he has been able to achieve much higher amounts of HHO compared to any other inventor because of his "undisclosed calculations".[6] He has applied for a patent from the Government of Pakistan and is waiting for their feedback.[6] Agha Waqar has Published information about his waterkit online.
