Rachana Nandan, will get Rs 56 lakh per annum Job from the Social Networking Giant ‘Facebook’ .She will joined in California after finishing her last semester in March 2013.
She qualified in the Facebook online test on July 22 and aviated to New Delhi with three others, all boys, for a face-to-face interview on August 4.
Rachana Nandan hails from Patna but from childhood live in Guwahati where she completed 10th and 10+2 from Kendriya Vidyalaya with 90 % and 91.4 % marks respectively.She likes dance and dramatics.She was also involved in ‘Kartavya’,the students’ outfit of ISM that educates over 10,000 slum children.
ISM director D.C. Panigrahi couldn’t stop praising the student. “The entire institute is proud of Rachana. I’ll share the credit between Rachana, herteachers and ISM. The best part is that it will fuel the ambitions of other students, who’ll work harder now,” Panigrahi said.
“I must thank my family and teachers for this day. My family supported our technical aptitudes. Rashmi completed her BTech in electronics engineering this year, while Abhishek is in Class VIII. He’s the baby of the family, but is technologically wired like us,” said Rachana Nandan.

फेसबुक में 60 लाख रुपए की सालाना नौकरी हासिल करने के बाद सुर्खियों में आई धनबाद की रचना नंदन का कहना है कि ये वेतन बहुत ज्यादा नहीं है.
धनबाद के इंडियन स्कूल ऑफ माइंस यानी भारतीय खनिज विद्यापीठ से इंजीनियरिंग की पढ़ाई कर रही रचना से कुलदीप कुमार ने जब जानना चाहा कि क्या वो फेसबुक जॉइन करने के बाद अमरीका में रहेगीं, तो इसके जवाब में उन्होंने कहा, “अभी तो मुझे ऑफर मिला है. उसमें कुछ ऐसा नहीं लिखा है. लेकिन आगे मेरे काम पर निर्भर करता है और कंपनी की शर्तों पर भी. यदि मुझे अच्छा लगा तो ठीक, अन्यथा वापस आ जाऊंगी.”बीबीसी हिंदी के पाठक प्रभात कुमार झा के सवाल के जवाब में रचना ने कहा, “ये जो पैकेज है वो भारतीय रुपए में है, जबकि मेरी नौकरी अमरीका के कैलीफॉर्निया में होगी. वहां टैक्स भी ज्यादा होता है और खर्च भी ज्यादा है. इसलिए उस लिहाज से बहुत ज्यादा नहीं है. दूसरे वो इतना पैसा दे रहे हैं तो मुझसे काम भी ज्यादा कराएंगे.”
