She is a trained Kathak dancer
She made her acting debut in Rajshri Productions' movie Abodh in 1984
On 17 October 1999, Madhuri Dixit married Shriram Madhav Nene, a UCLA-trained cardiovascular surgeon who practiced in Denver.
In October 2011 she again shifted her base back to Mumbai, India, along with her family.
