London, Aug. 11. - The Puerto Rican Ysept Jaime Espinal has qualified for the final in the category of 84 kilos of wrestling the 2012 London Olympics and will fight for the gold medal against the Azerbaijani Sharif Sharifov, current world champion .
To reach the final Espinal won the Nigerian knockout Adibo Andrew Dick, quartered into Georgian Marsagishvili Data and Belarusian Soslan Gattsiev semifinals.
His rival for gold is the Azerbaijani Sharifov, world champion in 2011.
In this category the Venezuelan José Daniel Diaz Robertti lost in the second round before the Latvian Zvirbulis Armands. The elimination of this quarter and left with no option to Venezuelan aspire to the repechage.
The same happened to the Cuban Humberto Arcencibia, if losing to American Jake Herbert, eliminated in the quarterfinals by Sharifov.El puertorriqueño Jaime Espinal luchará por el oro en 84 kilos de lucha
El puertorriqueño Jaime Ysept Espinal se ha clasificado para la final de la categoría de los 84 kilos de lucha libre de los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres 2012 y pugnará por la medalla de oro contra el azerbaiyano Sharif Sharifov, actual campeón mundial.
Para llegar a la final Espinal ganó en octavos de final al nigeriano Andrew Adibo Dick, en cuartos al georgiano Dato Marsagishvili y en semifinales al bielorruso Soslan Gattsiev.
Su rival por el oro es el azerbaiyano Sharifov, campeón mundial en 2011.
En esta misma categoría el venezolano José Daniel Díaz Robertti perdió en octavos ante el letón Armands Zvirbulis. La eliminación de éste en cuartos dejó al venezolano ya sin opción de aspirar a las repescas.
Lo mismo le sucedió al cubano Humberto Arcencibia, en su caso al caer ante el estadounidense Jake Herbert, eliminado en cuartos por Sharifov.
