Hansika Motwani (born 9 August 1991) is an Indian film actress who predominantly appears in Telugu and Tamil cinema, while also appearing in Hindi and Kannada cinema. She made her film debut in the Telugu filmDesamuduru (2007),
that fetched her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. Following appearance in in several high budget Telugu films like Kantri (2008),Maska (2009) and Billa (2009), she started her career in Tamil cinema with the film Mappillai (2011). She has been part of commercially successful Tamil films includingVelayudham (2011) and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2012) and has since become a sought-after actress in Tamil
Personal life
Hansika Motwani was born to Pradeep Motwani, a businessman and Mona Motwani, a dermatologist. She has a brother Prashant Motwani. Her parents were separated in 2004, with Hansika living with her mother and brother. Hansika attended thr Podar International School, Mumbai.[3] She went on to study at the International Curriculum School in Mumbai.
